            Navigating through the massive steel approaches of the MacArthur Bridge is UP train MSLSLB-18. UP 7340 leads 2 other UP GE Products as they lift tonnage up and out of UP’s Lesperance Street yard on a concrete bridge that makes up the south leg of the Poplar Street Wye. Led by an AC6000 Carbody with wings on the nose and flag proudly displayed on the side, UP 7340 is probably one of the better looking former AC6000 units out there, and in my opinion how all UP units should look. The crew would pull the train north and up the TRRA’s High Line, clearing the north wye switch before shoving back to 12th Street yard in Downtown St. Louis. Once in 12th Street yard, the crew would have to wait for room at Alton and Southern’s Gateway Yard in East St. Louis before taking the train across the MacArthur bridge ultimately leaving the state of Missouri behind.
