26004 - a photo on Flickriver

            26004 is seen in the yard at Bo'ness in October 2007

Delivered new to Hornsey Depot (34B) on 31 October 1958 at D5304 it spent the first 18 months of its career operating around north London, before a transfer to Finsbury Park (34G) in April 1960 and immediate loan to Scottish Region at Haymarket Depot (64B) which was formalised in June 1960. It was to be a Haymarket engine for the next 28 years before moving to Eastfield in May 1988. Its final transfer was to Inverness in August 1992 but it was withdrawn 3 months later in November 1992. From April 1987 it was allocated to various freight sectors but regularly found its way onto passenger services across Scotland.

Fortunately it was preserved and is now in the good care of the 6LDA Group based at Bo'ness in the company of 26024.
