Haworth's Aeonium 29 of 365 (Year 10)

            Haworthh's aeonium is native to the Canary Islands and northern Africa but has been introduced to other areas of similar climates, such as Southern California.  In the US, it is suitable to be grown outside USDA hardiness zones 9-11. This species is drought-tolerant and prefers full sun. It is sometimes susceptible to aphids and mealybugs. It is a sand-dwelling beach plant, a subshrub with rough, woody stems and rosettes of thick, red-edged green leaves which are triangular or diamond- or spade-shaped. "Wikipedia"
