A window on autumn (In Explore 18-03-2022)

            I went to the Dolomites because I wanted to see how summer changed into autumn. Looking back on my pictures it is incredible to see how fast the colors changed from green to yellow and red. 

Was at the end of September most of the forest still green, two weeks later many trees had turned into yellow, and many deciduous trees were starting to become reddish. One thing that struck me is that it looks like autumn is creeping down from the mountains into the valleys, spreading like a virus tree after tree. 

I took this image on a wonderful walk to lake Sorapis, that in itself is already a jewel. More to come.
