A wonderful encounter - a photo on Flickriver

            Just a few days ago I met this roe on a walking path. She was quietly grazing, and I was standing at about 88 meters observing her, when a cyclist chased her away into the bushes. I thought she had gone for good so I started walking the path into the direction where she was standing, not expecting to meet her again.

But when I came close I saw there was a fence that she couldn't cross, so there she was at only four meters away from me. I made a few pictures through a lot of branches and plants, and then I walked away, because i didn't want to disturb her too much. 

When I crossed the corner Now ca 30 meters away from her, I had her frontal and made another few shots through the trees and branches. She still was there, waiting patiently for me to leave, so she could resume here dinner. It all was very peaceful in the warm light at the end of the day. A wonderful encounter!
