Fifty-ish Shades of Grey - a photo on Flickriver

            Although not as brightly colored as her male counterpart, with the Buffle-head female being more grey-scale than color, they are not dull or boring looking at all. I was really happy to see the pair I saw today, a male and female, I rarely see them now at Delaware Creek where these were. Up until a couple of years ago I did, but possibly the drought changed things to where they stopped coming around.
At any rate, I love these little ducks, 'cute' doesn't even begin to describe what the male and females are. :)
