Burlington Northern F7A 644 Portland OR 5-7-1976

            Here's a shot of Burlington Northern F7A 644 resting at Hoyt St. in Portland OR May 1976. The 644 was built in April 1952 as GN 314-A and retired in December 1980. The 644 was sold to Precision National. This F Unit was originally purchased to work the ore lines of the Mesabi Division between Allouez and the Mesabi Range. These F units were known as Ore Wagons. Considering this was shot in 1976, I would say the Big Sky Blue is holding fairly well on the 644. This is an original Agfachrome slide which seems equal to a Kodachrome duplicate in terms of sharpness. Portland, OR May 7, 1976. Bob Gottier Agfachrome from my Collection.
