Above the Boardwalk - a photo on Flickriver

            After seeing my friend Philip Kuntz's (Phil's Pixels) most impressive photographs taken from the hill above the Grand Prismatic Spring....one way or another, I was determined to hike to this spot......

It took quite a bit of arm twisting to convince my wife we were going to make that climb......especially after a Park Ranger recommended against it.      As one can see, there are lots of fallen trees that must be navigated up the very steep hill while carrying camera equipment.    But once you reach a clearing at the top..........this beautiful scene awaits.

I read where someone once wrote:   "Nothing ever conceived by Human Art could equal the peculiar vividness and delicacy of color of this remarkable Grand Prismatic Spring."

I have to say, this was the most rewarding hike of our entire trip and seeing is believing !  Thanks again Phil.
