Good Times - a photo on Flickriver

Good Times

            Back when CrossCountry offered a proper InterCity service: power car no. 43378 is seen leaving Derby at London Road Jn, working 1V50 the 06:06 Edinburgh to Plymouth service. A sight now consigned to history following the DfT-enforced withdrawal of the HST sets, with 43378 having since been exported to Mexico for use by Tren interoceánico. 

The naturally warm film really does bring out the maroon elements of the XC livery rather nicely!

Canon EOS 500, 1/500 second, Kodak Ultramax 400ASA 35mm colour film with a Mamiya M645 C 80mm lens with adapter at f8.0.

Scanned from the negative using a Sony mirrorless camera, macro lens and lightbox, and processed using Adobe Lightroom imaging software.
