Plan B - a photo on Flickriver

Plan B

            While on my return trip from Wisconsin and the 1003, I diverted from the interstate after a while and headed over to Route 47 to see if I could get lucky and see the Bloomer Line in action - something I've never managed to shoot, never knowing when they run and never getting lucky - although it didn't take long to find I would not, in fact, be lucky in that regard. However, approaching Gibson City, I did hear a southbound CN train.

Turns out, I did have a bit of luck left in me. CN 8002 and IC 1038 came racing down the Gilman Sub right in front of me, and I knew I had to take that opportunity even as tired as I felt after a long weekend. Off to Parnell it was!
