Maybe Sorta Almost Trespassing - a photo on Flickriver

            The challenge of following A407 into Champaign is traffic lights. The old IC main and Route 45 parallel each other perfectly for a long while with a myriad of intersections with lights that are so long. It's easy to get far ahead of a train just for one traffic light to put you side by side with the power. Tricky indeed - often times you will not get ahead until A407 reaches the yard thanks to it slowing just before the diamond.

For once, however, the timing worked out. A few start-stops later and, having started to slow at Hillcrest, we struck green after green, a true blessing. The Abott power plant and its big UofI "i" are a classic combo with an Illinois Central deathstar, and with clouds above us, how could I say no? I was set to do the usual wedge when it occurred to me I could use the large billboard a short walk away as framing. Hey, I like fun framing devices. That no trespassing sign really called to me while I was, well, you know...
