1964-66 Chevy G-10 panel van custom. I've been trying for the last year to create a satisfactory model of this vehicle. Since I own two of them in real life, I was never satisfied with all the front end combinations that I tried until I landed on this one. These vans were the very first in the G-series that lasted until the late 1990's. Chevy kept the cab-forward design through 1970 but changed the front end styling for the 1967-70 model years. These vans are great vehicles. Easy to work on and customize, will accept a V8 without extensive mods, and just a blast to cruise around in! My two are both daily driven, and literally every time I go anywhere I get multiple thumbs-up and offers to sell.
You will probably notice the lack of side doors, but this is an authentic detail. Through 1970, side cargo doors were an additional-cost option you had to specify when ordering one, so there are a small percentage of these that were produced as "no-doors". I tried to give this one a full 70's-style love-machine interior, with a bed in the back. I also built the roof to easily remove as a play feature, as well as a gullwing-style opening rear door. I hope you enjoy it, I certainly get way more than 50 smiles to the gallon out of the two I own!!!!!!
