Castillo del Desnarigado / Castle of the Uprooted

            El Castillo del Desnarigado tiene su origen en la necesidad de controlar una cala cercana a Ceuta que era lugar de reunión habitual de corsarios procedentes de Marruecos. Uno de estos piratas, el Desnarigado, da el nombre tanto a la cala como a la fortaleza. En la actualidad es un Museo Militar.

The Castillo del Desnarigado has its origin in the need to control a cove near Ceuta that was a regular meeting place for privateers from Morocco. One of these pirates, the Desnarigado, gives the name to both the cove and the fortress. Today it is a Military Museum
