Criccieth revisited - a photo on Flickriver

            Do you know what is the worst thing about being a grown up? Birthdays.
When you are a kid it's all cake, balloons and presents and you feel really special.
However, as an adult, today I have had to take my Mother to Morrisons for the weekly shop, run errands into town, arrange with Green Flag to come and nurse my dead car back to life, and then take said resurrected car to the garage for a bit more life saving treatment.
I am cooking my own tea rather than being wined and dined somewhere extravagant and connecting with my daughters on the screen rather than giving hugs.
However, I have had lots of virtual love coming from many friends and the most gorgeous flowers from Beth and Maisie. Tonight's tea is the biggest bbq chicken pizza in the world and there is a bottle of prosecco in the fridge with my name on it!
So although I can't get to Criccieth, which had become a bit of a tradition, and have a cherry waffle ice cream sundae, which is also a bit of tradition, I am still going to have a fabulous day.
Next year's birthday is huge so there will be a celebration like no other!
