Phoenixed!

            Six years ago to the date (almost), another look at, resplendent in newly applied GBRf colours, 50049 Defiance and 50007 Hercules blasting through the dank cavern of Blatchbridge junction working Pathfinder's 1Z50 Paddington to Penzance  'The Class 50 Terminator - Phoenixed' excursion.

The tour itself was organised to mark (again to the closest weekend) the 25 years since Pathfinder Railtour's 'The 50 Terminator', that event taking a slightly different route to Cornwall having started at Waterloo and working down the West of England line to Exeter. As can just be seen on the commemorative boards the 1994 tour also featured 50007 (partnered then with 50050 Fearless) but was at the time running in it's GWR green 'Sir Edward Elgar' guise.
