            DEDE - SEARCHING SAFETY
The mural was created as part of the City Energy Festival in 2016.
Its author - Dede, who also uses the pseudonym Dede Bandaid, is an artist from Tel-Aviv who often uses the motif of band-aids or the dove of peace in his works. In this way, he comments on current political events and expresses his views.
The mural shows a bird soaring into flight composed of intricately painted boards and fragments of houses - it could be a Balucki dove of peace flying up, a symbol of the rebirth of the district of Łódź, which has the most difficult history behind it.

For me, in retrospect, as well as covid19 and the economic situation, this mural fits my city very well. This city is trying to fly above the gray but it's hard to do with wooden wings. We try and fall to get up again and try again. We are chasing a dream a bit like Icarus. Maybe one day it will work - let's hope for better days.
