Former Brighton Council Chambers / Town Hall, now City of Holdfast Bay Council Chambers, South Australia

            The foundation stone of the new Municipal Offices and Council Chamber was laid by F J Brown Esq., J.P., Mayor Brighton on 26 June 1937. He was presented with a silver trowel by the contractor Mr A Marshall.
On Saturday 27 November 1937 Mr Brown opened the building.

Architect of the building was Christopher A Smith J.P.
