            The three 55-plate Optare Tempos in the Stagecoach in South Wales fleet (25101-3) are being retired from Traws Cymru Service T4 (Cardiff-Pontypridd-Merthyr Tydfil-Brecon-Builth Wells-Llandrindod Wells-Newtown). These have spent all their lives on the service, be it that between 2006 and 2012, it was numbered 704 and operated between Brecon and Newtown only.

Their replacements are three of the powerful Alexander Dennis Enviro300-bodied Scanias delivered in 2015.  These have latterly been operating from Blackwood depot on Service 26 (Blackwood-Cardiff) after a number were made surplus following the frequency reduction on the Cardiff to Merthyr Tydfil section of Service X4.

28735 is the first out of the paintshop in the familiar white and green colours, and is captured at speed on the B4602 just east of Bishops Meadow, Brecon in mid May 2017 on the Sunday Merthyr Tydfil to Newtown working.

Bishops Meadow is where Stagecoach's Merthyr Tydfil depot outstations 11 vehicles, including four of the eight required for the T4.  This parking area replaced the former National Welsh / Western Welsh depot in Watton when it closed in 1989, though it remains in use with ATS.
