The Kecak Fire Dance is a traditional dance in Bali, Indonesia.The plot is based on a fragment from the Ramayana, the Hindu epic, and is unique in that the accompanying music is provided by the human voice, the gamelan suara, a choir of a dozens of men sitting in concentric circles, swaying, standing up, lying prone as the story develops. During the finale of the Fire Dance, a dancer throws himself into the flames of a fire. He can barely be seen through the smoke, sparks and flying palm husks.
