Der Neue Bahnhof
Das heutige Gebäude wurde zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts von den Preußischen Staatseisenbahnen nach Plänen des Wirklich Geheimen Oberbaurates und Vortragenden Rates im preußischen Ministerium der öffentlichen Arbeiten Alexander Rüdell gebaut und 1908 eröffnet. Es ist das die dritte Bahnhofs Gebäude in Vohwinkel seit 1841.

Warum "Service Store" und nicht Fahrkartenschalter, Kundenberatung ?

Buger Bahnhof Wuppertal-Vohwinkel: Die Bezeichnung Projekt BürgerBahnhof (BüBa) steht für eine Vision: die Revitalisierung (Wiederbelebung) des denkmalgeschützten Bahnhofsensembles in Wuppertal-Vohwinkel. Sie markiert gleichzeitig die Idee des bürgerschaftlichen Engagements: Von Bürgern – für Bürger.

The New Station (the third)
The present building was built in the early 20th century by the Prussian state railways to plans by the building advice and lecturers Council, in the Prussian Ministry of Public Works, Alexander Rüdell and opened 1908. It is the The third station building at Vohwinkel since 1841.
