Lion (The King) DSC_3604 - a photo on Flickriver

            The Kings curiosity was peaked when he saw my camera and heard the clicks. I snapped a few shots of him and then of his Queen.  He gazed in my direction for a moment, then he pretended to ignore me as he turned his head to the side and looked at me out of the corner of his eye.  

Curiosity struck him once more and he gazed into my eyes as I did his.  I nearly failed to capture this moment because I was so mesmerized by his incredible beauty.  Bewitched me he had, for I could not look away from his striking eyes.  That is until he decided I was really quite dull and he grew tired of our staring game.  I won by the way.  

He lay down his exquisite head and closed one eye, keeping the other one fixed upon me.  Then he started ever so slowly blinking the one open eye.  Alas, he blinked no more and he was fast asleep.  

This upload concludes my Thanksgiving Day adventure pix from Busch Gardens, Tampa.  It is my favorite one of the set.  I believe this image will become wall art in my home.  That is if I can ever figure out how to Photoshop :)  That small acacia branch needs to go.
