Florida's State Bird DSC_2255 - a photo on Flickriver

            Dunbar (Northern Mockingbird) is Florida's state bird.  With all of the unique birds Florida has to offer I'm not sure why the mockingbird was chosen.  Don't get me wrong, I know he's a beauty but he certainly isn't unique to Florida. Perhaps I shall take a bit of time and research that soon.  

Life has been rather busy for me as of late.  From my revolving door of back to back company, the holidays, habitat maintenance and enhancements it's all been a whirlwind of fun.  Oh and I can't forget the indoor projects.  Yikes, they take so much time and they are not as fun as outdoor enhancements.  Perhaps that's why I call them projects although, truly they too are enhancements.  I can say I enjoy the outcome of those and I try to enjoy the projects themselves.  Admittingly, those projects frustrate me a bit, mostly because of the mess.  

Anyway, I'm about to get a little breather so I will have more time to play with flickr, read about mockingbirds and snap shots of my little visitors.
