            This is Henrietta, she is a lovely red rat snake, also known as a corn snake around here.  Henrietta came to live on my lanai some time ago.  We surprise each other on occasion when she is roaming around.  

Henrietta's main diet consists of lizards.  There are plenty of lizards on my lanai.  Those guys are always trying to get the freshly hatched butterflies in protective custody.  

I am glad Henrietta took up residency here, she helps keep the lizard population under control.  Before she and Henry came to live here I was always having to catch lizards and toss them out.  Who's Henry?  Well, he is a much smaller but equally beautiful red rat snake.  I can only tell them apart by size.  

Henry doesn't roam around as much.  He likes to hang out in the Hoya plant beside the sliding door.  It only surprises me when I see him out and about instead of in the plant.
