Tiger season is here DSC_7538 - a photo on Flickriver

            I have seen more Tiger Swallowtails already this year than I normally see in a season.  I would love to raise them, however, have never found a tiger caterpillar on any of the host plants in my yard. I have to admit, that it looks like they are doing well enough on their own at this point, so it's all good.  

The giants are getting a slow start if you ask me.  I have seen a couple of them in the yard but have not seen any of them tapping on the host plants yet.  Then again, I am not home as much as I used to be.  But that's another story.  Perhaps, I will check the wild lime for eggs later today, just in case.
