            Year 1956: At left, Fulgencio Batista's Chief of Police Rafael Salas Canizares  finds a couple of mortar shells in one of his frequent forays against Fidel Castro's revolutionaries; he gets carried away and playfully begins to shake and knock together the projectiles while intoning a then popular cha-cha-cha song. At right, the nauseatingly noisy albeit colorful outcome.

Original b/w photo repaired and colored in Photoshop. The explosion was, of course, purely accidental.
