Ghostly Freightliner - 66616 at Slinden

            Stone trains to and from the Derbyshire quarries are regularly hauled by engines sporting an amount of stone dust but this is the worse I’ve seen for quite a while. 

Giving almost a ghostly appearance 66616 heads northbound at Slinden with 6H50 13:18 Wembley Reception Sidings - Tunstead. 

Another unusual thing about this working was the inclusion half way down the consist of sister engine 66614 with another rake if hoppers behind. 
Not something I’ve seen before except for failures. Is this a way of saving on fuel costs by combining 2 empty workings into one or was it a test for longer trains?
