"Good Morning, 1630!" - a photo on Flickriver

            This year's Showcase Weekend at the Illinois Railway Museum was unlike any other, as the museum opted to run trains all night between Saturday and Sunday in honor of its 70th Anniversary.

Unfortunately, overnight showers and storms dampened a lot of the photographic activity around the museum grounds, though trains continued to run. For those who were able to muster up the energy to participate in the blue hour on Sunday morning, the museum ran Frisco 1630 on a lengthy photo freight, seen here belching out smoke in the midst of falling raindrops as it begins its pass on the mainline.

This was the only train photo I took during the weekend (opting to more fully experience the joys of riding), but it certainly was a good way to commemorate the event.
