" Ensign Vamar, Personal log, Star date 11789.7: it has been three weeks since a temporal anomaly stranded a shuttle containing myself and three cadets in earth's 21's century. the damage you our shuttle was considerable, but we have finally finished repairs and are nearly ready to fly back into orbit, it is our theory that if we recreate the events that send up back in time, we can travel back to the 24th century in time for dinner. but before we can leave we must do our best to ensure out presence hasn't contaminated the timeline. nearly all of the shuttles supplies are accounted for, all save for one lockbox that contained a standard issue phaser pistol, a medical tricorder and a data drive containing technical manuals. needless to say, these item can not be left in the hands of pre warp earth!

having the most experience living among humans (compared to the three cadets, an Andorian, a Tellarite and a Ferangi) i took it upon myself to venture into the city near were we made out crash-landing, the ancient earth city of Las- Vegas. 24th century tech emits a unique signal unlike anything of this century, so tracking it is easy. as is blending in with the locals, thanks to my portable holo emitter, i can pass for a human. or at-least i could have, if the damned thing didn't break an hour into my search.

i was sure i had botched everything and was expecting to get a one way ticket to some ancient earth secret lab for dissection! but everyone who say me simply complimented me on my 'costume' it would seen the lost container's signal has lead me to some sort of science fiction convention? so many humans dressed as what their time percived as 'aliens.' so many humans in blue face, i'd almost be offended if i wasn't on an urgent mission.

ive found a room with dozens if not hundreds of 'sci-fi' props. it should only take me a few moments to find the real deal, grab them and beam back to the shuttle. i'm done with this century, and this convention. everyone smells bad and they keep trying to grope me! i need a sonic shower!
