Becky: Should I slice or dice the shrooms?

Edith: You can do whatever you like dear.

Carrie: There, I'm done! Can I have a banana now please Mrs Buttercombe? 

Edith: Let me have a look.... Oh, now what is 4+4 Carrie dear?

Becky: Eight!

Carrie: Eight! 

Edith: Haha, come now Becky, let Carrie figure it out on her own. Just change that to an eight and then answer me this. Carrie, if you have three bananas, and then add four mushrooms, what do you get? 

Becky: A yucky dish! Ha ha ha!! 

Carrie: *Giggle* Um, let's see... *Counting on her fingers* Seven!

Edith: Well done Carrie! Now you can have a banana.
