Barbie looks up to Mrs. Ideal.... or?

            I have a lot of different dolls and it can be hard for you to keep track of who they are and their sizes. - But eveyone knows how big a Barbie is, right? So here is a comparison. 

(This particular Barbie has been with me for a very long time. I think I gave her that hairdo 30-something years ago, but that's not why we are here.)

A little bit of history: 
Mrs. Ideal (to be clear, she's to the right) was produced by the American company Ideal Toys 1962. She was the gorgeous mother of 'Tammy', the main character if you please, two brothers and little Pepper.  The Ideal family's was sadly discontinued in 1966.

Barbie: Thank you for lending me your new apron. 

Mrs. Ideal: Why of course. 

Barbie: It doesn't really fit me though. 

Mrs. Ideal: Well, dear Mr. Didier made it specifically for me. 

Barbie: I thought I had big hips but MAN! You're wide like a barn door. *Gesturing for emphasis* 

Mrs. Ideal: I'm realistically proportioned thank you very much. 

Barbie: With that big head? I think not. 

Mrs. Ideal: There's so much I could say right now, but we might have children listening so I'll just say this. You're the reason they made Me.

Barbie: Awww, thank you! 

Mrs. Ideal: That's not... never mind.

Barbie was the first fashion doll after all. We owe her a lot. *Cough, cough*, body dysphoria.
