Yacimiento celtibérico Contrebia Leukade (Aguilar del Rio Alhama-La Rioja-Spain)

            Este yacimiento está ubicado en al valle del Rio Alhama (La Rioja), parcialmente excavado. 
Contrebia Leucade  o (Kontrebia Leukade), es el nombre dado a una ciudad de origen celtibérico cuya historia se remonta hasta la Edad del Bronce, siendo el momento de su máximo esplendor la Etapa celtibérica.
Sus ruinas se han preservado hasta el presente en relativo buen estado. Su ubicación geográfica está al sureste de La Rioja, España, en el término municipal de Aguilar del Río Alhama, 
Esta ciudad (oppidum) tuvo una existencia de aprox. 1.000 años, desde finales de la Edad del Bronce , Edad del Hierro, etapa celtibérica, etapa romana, etapa visigoda y se abandonó en el siglo IX d.C..
Las tribus que la hicieron grande y poderosa fueron arévacos y pelendones en la etapa pre-romana, Ofrecieron una aguerrida resistencia a la conquista romana (como Numancia) y fue conquistada por las legiones romanas al mando de Sertorio en torno al 143 A.C.
