Pink ruellia (Mexican petunia) - a photo on Flickriver

            This one is on my "Beautiful But Bad" list -- although a bit less invasive than the purple ruellia (which is a horrible thug -- really awful).  There is a dwarf variety of this (I usually see a cultivar called 'Katie') which is not considered invasive at all, but this full-sized volunteer is invasive and gets immense if allowed to grow. 

Strangely, the white ruellia is exceedingly reticent -- it never goes anywhere it is not invited -- and I have had a single plant in my garden for about a half dozen years, which has remained the same size and in the same place.  (I just posted a photo of that one several days ago.)
