Ominous Clouds? (Σxplore) - a photo on Flickriver

            Lenticular clouds appear overhead,  as a Sudden Stratospheric Warming (SSW) occurs.  The polar vortex has been pushed above Europe high up in the stratosphere.   Never seen the lenticular clouds look this dramatic,  maybe a resullt of the stratospheric changes?   Ominous sign of cold returning for spring?
