Wilminstone Viaduct, Tavistock - Bridging The Gap.

            I rejoice in the recent reopening of the railway line between Exeter and Okehampton to regular passenger trains.  This still leaves a gap of about 23 missing miles between Okehampton and Bere Alston some of which has been made into a bike trail so it is possible to go LSWR all the way from Waterloo to Plymouth bridging the missing link with a bicycle. Here, at Wilminstone Viaduct, my small Dawes Kingpin Bicycle is dwarfed by the railway roadbed with Dartmoor scenery behind. But I'm Waterloo bound. Having stayed at the camping coaches at Bere Ferrers, I'm on my northbound journey to pick up the Southern Railway at Okehampton where, with one change at Exeter, there will be a train to take me and my bike all the way to London Waterloo.
