            ORCHIDEE SPONTANEE Ophrys fusca funerea con larva di Cryptolaemus montrouzieri

Potete notare sullo stelo una larva di un coleottero appartenente alla famiglia Coccinellidae: Cryptolaemus montrouzieri. 
Questa specie di coccinelle viene venduta ed impiegata per la lotta biologica contro afidi e cocciniglie.
Gli adulti e le larve di questi insetti mangiano cocciniglie. Le femmine depongono le uova tra i sacchi di uova delle cocciniglie. Le larve si nutrono di uova di cocciniglia, giovani esemplari e la loro melata.

You can see on the stem a larva of a beetle belonging to the Coccinellidae family: Cryptolaemus montrouzieri.
This species of ladybugs is sold and used for the biological fight against aphids and scale insects.
The adults and larvae of these insects eat mealybugs. Females lay their eggs among the egg sacs of the mealybugs. The larvae feed on cochineal eggs, young specimens and their honeydew
