Méphisto - Chambourcy (78) - a photo on Flickriver

            L'église Sainte-Clothilde, de style roman datant du XIIe siècle a plusieurs fois remaniée jusqu'au XIXe. À l'intérieur se trouvent les reliques de sainte Clotilde, épouse de Clovis Ier, roi des Francs, qu'elle convainquit de se convertir à la religion catholique. Charles V fit couper le clocher au XIVe siècle, comme tant d'autres, pour éviter qu'ils ne servent de lieu d'observation aux Anglais. Malheureusement fermée quand j'y suis allée.
