Riga - What is this? - a photo on Flickriver

            Actually, I really do not know. Obviously these are the remnants of an old building. But what kind of building and how old exactly I do not know and so far I could not find out. Maybe one of the Flickr-Users from Latvia could help.
It is situated at one corner of the small park directly across the Latvian Academy of Science.
Anyway, that is the kind of object which fascinates me: A silent messenger from the past, its message not yet understood.
