Khonhor 2TE25KM-0515 with a coal train towards Ulaanbaatar-4

            The second full day out into the Mongolian countryside we decided to travel a little further and by local bus this time. From our Airbnb we caught the XO 5 bus south out of Ulaanbaatar towards the village of Khonhor. This spot was chosen due to it's amazing horseshoe curves who multiple different angles possible to shoot. Later in the day it's also possible to shoot away from the curves for trains leaving the passing loops at Khonhor.

Here 2TE25KM-0515 heads towards Ulaanbaatar with a loaded coal train, maybe destined for one of the cities power stations. In the background some livestock can be seen grazing in the centre of the horseshoe.
