AMTK 170 @ Robbins, IL - a photo on Flickriver

            Before the replacements and the sudden fate of the Rock Island signals, back in 2019 Amtrak’s Texas Eagle and Lincoln service had been detouring on the former Rock Island between Joliet, IL and 16th street tower in Chicago, IL due to track work on their normal routing of the UP/CN Joliet Sub. Train #22, the Texas Eagle, is seen knocking down the Rock Island cantilever at CP Robbins with a pair of Amtrak P42DCs at the helm on the closing miles of their trip to Chicago Union Station on the Metra Rock District.
