Just east of Bracara and Bracorina is this crunchy, stony beach with views to the lush islands of Loch Morar. The mountains of the Isle of Rum are on the horizon.

            Commentary.

Sunshine beams off the famed waters of Loch Morar.
Deep to shallow, east to west.
The profusely wooded islands of the western end harbour
the “real” Scotland of Scots Pine, Silver Birch,  Mountain-Ash, fern, moss, algae and heather.
These islands are land of former times, an ecological time-capsule of the habitat before humans and sheep stripped lower slopes of their “natural” cover.
Views from this stony beach, that featured in the film, “Rob Roy,” reach as far as the graceful mountains of the Isle of Rum,
twenty miles offshore, and twenty-five miles distant, in this image.
