Sticker Bush Blooms ... 3-09-12 - a photo on Flickriver

            These are full blown sticker bushes now and will hurt like crazy if you brush up against them or step on one!!

When they are first starting out, they have a pretty pattern and the flowers are much like a dandelion.  Pretty yellow and bright green colors.

Spiders like to make their webs in these.  If the webs don't catch the unsuspecting bees, moths, and other pollen seeking critters, the stickers do stab them and catch them also!!

So, right after this photo, I took my spade and dug it up, then stepped on it and ground it into the ground, around and around and threw it into the garbage can!!!  

I hate anything cowardly and sneaky!!!  Yes this plant is sneaky, especially for blind old ladies like me that step on them bare footed,  or when I brush by them and they catch my ankles...or perhaps when I accidently (only one time!!) sat on one when I went fishing!!  Sneaky little bastards!!   (Did I say that out loud?)  Sorry...butt it hurts!!!!
