Poplar Tree Bloom ... 4-11-12 - a photo on Flickriver

            This year my body DID NOT listen to my brain, like last year, it behaved and I took my photo of this beautiful, Poplar Tree Bloom, with my telephoto lens!!!

I'm so proud of myself!!!  Last year I wanted to get up close and take a photo of a low hanging bloom and so I got a plastic lawn chair to stand on to take the photo.

My brain told me I could do it, so up I went on the chair.  Getting up was a breeze, but my body forgot about my bad knee on the right side and the bad foot on the left side!!  Hopping up was easy!!  Getting down was a whole different story.

I thought I could stand on the left bad foot long enough to let the bad right leg down, but if I did that, the bad right leg wouldn't hold me big butt up long enough once I got it down, for the left bad foot to come down.  So I thought I could let the bad left foot down first, but the bad right leg wouldn't hold the big butt up on the chair long enough to let it down, without first falling on the big butt on the way down!!

So there I was, stuck, standing on a chair, down in the woods, trying to yell above the dogs barking, to John, who can't hear anyway (or chooses not to) up at the house, watching TV, to come get me out of the chair!!

I stood there a good 10 minutes before John came down to the woods and asked me what the hell I was doing.   I told him playing Tarzan and my rope broke, so help me the hell down out of my tree house!!!!!   He said to be nice or he'd see how long I could stand there!!!

Soooooooooooooo, this year, I used the right lens and stood on the ground and laughed at my fat butt, did a little wiggle and a fat dance, plus stuck my tongue out at my brain!!

I love these blooms!!  Hope you do too!
