Augsburg: Hotelturm - a photo on Flickriver

Hotel and residential high-rise in Augsburg's Antonsviertel district. It was built between 1971 and 1972 and is the highest building in the Augsburg area measuring 115 m (167 m including the antenna mast).

I grew up in Augsburg and lived there until 2007, but I never heard anyone there call this tower "Maiskolben". This is purely a figment of the imagination of the German Wikipedia author, from whom the author of the English Wikipedia article then copied. We people from Augsburg soberly and distantly call the tower "Hotelturm" (hotel tower).
