Class 60 60055 "Thomas Barnardo" & Class 56 56091 "Driver Wayne Gaskell - The Godfather"

            60055 "Thomas Barnardo" (complete with 56091 "Driver Wayne Gaskell - The Godfather" dead in tow), departs from Ely West Junction working the 6Z89 0954 King's Lynn T.C. to Chaddesden Sidings sand train - 08/07/2023.
Well, despite the weather conditions, the rare chance to capture a Class 60/56 combination on camera for a second time was just good to miss. 
It does seem a bit daft that this train is now scheduled to leave King's Lynn earlier than before (0954 as opposed to 1016), as it generally cannot proceed beyond Ely, because no fewer than three passenger trains are due off Ely on this section of line to Peterborough at around 1100! I suppose the timetable planners just want the train off the King's Lynn branch, due to the two single line sections. 
Anyway, because the three passenger trains were in the way of this train, I was able to walk all the way back from the bridge over here from the Great Catchwater drain on the King's Lynn line & still have fifteen minutes to spare, before this train finally got going again.
Of course, it goes without saying that if the sun would have been out, I would have been shooting straight into it at this time of day. However, unlike other railway photographers, the lack of sun doesn't bother me one bit & therefore I was able to grab another half decent shot of this rather rare sight.
