51456 double-heading 52345 photographed at my second Spring Gala of the week-end et the East Lancashire Railway (ELR) at Heywood Station.

51456 has swapped round and is now heading 52345 in the Double Header..

51456, is a 2F 0-6-0ST loco which was built for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR).

52345, is a 3F 0-6-0 loco which was designed by Aspinall and built in 1896 for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR) before becoming a LMS loco in 1924.

I sometimes call this part of my attempt to catch Covid Tour of 3 railways including 2 Spring Galas as it was just before Lockdown 1 in the UK.
