Grace Lake Spring Thaw - a photo on Flickriver

            May 1, 2022, Spring finally arriving in the Yellowknife region, as the ice capped lakes begin to melt, and the last of the snow slowly disappears.  Soon we will be looking a blue water and green leaves again.  Best part of spring is that we are now heading into a six hour - Golden hour season.  Soon the sun will set around midnight and rise around 5 am, leaving about five hours all night with no darkness, as the sun sets just beyond the horizon and then rises again, without actually seeing any darkness all night. Creates an extended golden hour that allows the evening and the morning to just merge into each other as one photo shoot session.
