Fanal Magic (in explore) - a photo on Flickriver

            The Fanal forest is Madeira's most beautiful laurel forest. I was immediately captivated by the otherwordly atmosphere of this place created by the old gnarly trees and the fog. 

This ancient grove is one of the last remaining examples of Madeira's original rainforest, which dates back thousands of years and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
