A Japanese white-eye sucking nectar from Kawazu cherry blossoms in full bloom

            A Japanese white-eye or warbling white-eye (Zosterops japonicus) at Higashiyama Botanical Garden, Nagoya, Japan

A Kawazu cherry blossom tree was found around 1955 along Kawazu River, Izu, Japan as a wild-growing tree, and is considered as a spontaneous hybrid between Cerasus campanulata (shown as the previous photo) and a different species of a cherry blossom tree (Cerasus speciosa). Because of beautiful pink color and earlier blossom dates, Kawazu cherry blossoms become popular and now can be seen in many places in Japan.
