Barbie Pret-A-Porter / Beverly Hills Fashion #3310 from 1986 / 1987

This is an outfit I already photographed awhile ago, but it's one of my favourite outfits and I didn't think the generic grey background of the original pictures did it justice so I redid them with a more appropriate background! It's Beverly Hills Fashion #3310 from 1987, originally sold as a European exclusive Pret-A-Porter outfit in 1986. It is worn here by Dolls of the World Canadian Barbie #4928 from 1987.

The outfit includes a large white hat, white scarf, red purse, red and white peplum blazer with functioning belt, white and red flared skirt, and a pair of red skinny pumps.
The outfit (especially the coat and hat) makes me think of something Joan Collins would have worn on the original Dynasty!

There are actually quite a few differences between the version of the outfit shown on the packaging and the final one. The original hat was a bit taller, the pattern in the skirt was more jagged, the pattern in the blazer was more floral looking, and the belt and purse were fabric rather than the faux patent leather look.
