Cutty Sark (See description)...... - a photo on Flickriver

            The Cutty Sark is the world's only surviving extreme clipper. Most of the Hull fabric that you can see dates back to its construction in 1869. Clipper ships are marked by three design characteristics  - a long, narrow hull, a sharp bow which cuts through the waves rather than riding atop and three raking masts.

During its time as a British  merchant ship it visited 16 countries and travelled the equivalent of two and a half voyages to the moon and back.

653 men served on the ship from thirty different countries around the world.

When she was restored in 2012 after a devastating fire, The Cutty Sark was raised 3 meters into the air to allow visitors the chance to walk directly underneath the ship and discover its striking copper hull.
